I know I know, it's been awhile.

Well as i sit here at work completely bored and waiting to hear if i got a new job I decided it was time to update. Yeah I know a little late. So here it goes.
Matt got his Associates Degree last May from SLCC and then in the fall he started @ Weber State, he has decided to go into Architecture and so will be transferring to The U this coming fall. We are both very excited he has decided what he wants to do and i know he will do a great job.
I am trying to get back on at a Branch for the Bank, I am going crazy being behind the scenes. I need the customer interaction. I even miss the grumpy clients that you can never seem to please. And I have been keeping pretty busy doing hair. I do Grandma's "wet set" every Saturday and then I did prom hair this last weekend.
My friend and I are addicted to making seasonal signs and I need to think of a cute one i can make for Easter to go above my kitchen cupboards. I will have to post pics of some of the hair i have done recently as well as the cute signs.
I am also in the process of setting up a blog for my hair. It will list prices and services as well as some before and after pictures. So check back soon. I am hoping to have it up by the end of the month.
I redecorated my room Again. And am still in the process of finishing some artwork for the walls. I created the "art" above the bed that stands in for the headboard. And now i'm just in the process of trying to find some floral pictures to hang on the wall.
Matt and I went bowling for the first time as a couple a few weeks back with some friends and I'll have to post a few of the pics. It was so much fun but boy do we stink. I don't think either one of us made it over 80 in either one of the two games we played. Well my boss is back so i better get back to work. I'll post later. Promise.

Update

So Matt went to the Pulmonary Specialist today for a check-up and from what the doctor said Matt is doing great. He listened to his breathing and said he sounds amazing and we did an x-ray so we should get the results in a few days. As long as everything looks good then Matt doesn't have to go back for 6 months. That makes me REALLY happy.
So I know I haven't posted an updated picture of my hair yet, but it turned ORANGE!!! I'm still in the process of fixing it. I'll post more pics later.... when it actually looks good.

Well can you believe that it is already February 16Th!? Crazy! Where has the time gone?
Matt and I have been super busy with life as usual. He is loving his classes this semester so far, he is taking Psychology and Accounting. He should finish his Associates this spring and then he will transfer to Weber State to finish his Bachelors.

I have been busy changing my hair color. What can I say I get bored really easy.

This was November.

This was a weekend in January, it's a black/blue with blue highlights.

And this is about an hour ago, it's a dark brown/black with brown in the bangs. I am currently re-coloring my hair. I'll let you know how it turns out. Wish me luck.

Crazy Year

So I was thinking today as I was sitting in sacrament that this year has been super crazy. It all started in January when Matt started experiencing chest pains. He eventually ended up at a Pulmonologist to go in for a Broncoscopy and two days later ( on Valentine's Day yeah he owes me big time for that one.) he ended up in the emergency room with a temperature of 105. He stayed there for a few days with pneumonia. Then in May after he had been "diagnosed" with Sarcoidosis, http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/sarcoidosis-11087 . And we thought he was doing well then the doctor decided he wanted a concrete diagnosis so in July Matt went in for a Midiostynoscopy, where they made an incision at the base of his neck and took samples of the enlarged lymph-nodes in his lungs. He was then for sure, without a doubt diagnosed with Sarcoidosis. So the doctor put him on a steroid to hopefully shrink the lymph-nodes. Well we have since switched specialists because the old one was out of network so that was costing way to much so now we are seeing Dr. Alexander and we really like him. He actually listens, we went in to see him this last Tuesday and we were told that the steroid is working and he doesn't think Matt will have to be put back on. Which is really good news (he's been off for about 4 weeks now).

July 2008
This is right after surgery.

I graduated in May from Fran Brown FINALLY! And started working at the salon in October. It took me only 2 1/2 years to get it over with. I had a lot of fun doing it and wouldn't change it for the world. I made a bunch of great friends along the way .

Me and Licha May 2008
I had a blast at beauty school, and NO ONE can sing Beauty School Drop-out to me!

My oldest sister Melisa and her husband Kevin have also had a crazy and exciting year. In October they received a call saying that someone might have a little 15 month old for them, they have been trying to adopt off and on for about 5 years. After about two weeks taking car of this little girl with the hopes of making it permanent they also discovered that they were going to be able to adopt the little girls baby brother. SO that means they have a tripled their family. They have the cutest 3 year old named Cameron, but then again I think I might be a little biased And now they have a 16 month old named Gracie and a 3 month old named Wyatt. They are such a blessing for our entire family. We are so excited to have them. Here is a picture of the adorable family. My manager at the bank says they look like the model family picture you get when you buy a picture frame. They are an adorable family. Well that's been my year so far but who knows.... we still have 24 days left something else can always happen.

So I am totally new to this whole blogging thing, but I have wanted to do it forever. It seems like my entire family is doing this so what can I say, I must be a lemming ;). Just kidding. I think it's a great way to stay up to date with friends and family.

A little about my self; I have now been married for almost 16 months and I still love it. My husband, Matt, and I both work full time for Zions Bank. He is also going to school and I am working part time at Something Sassy Hair and Nail Studio in Kaysville. I love the salon, it is so much fun to do hair all the time. Hopefully sooner rather than later I can just do hair full time and not have to work at the bank as well.

I love Christmas, my extended family has a tradition that my immediate family just joined in on a few years ago. The day after Thanksgiving we get up super early and drive to Soda Springs, Idaho. We go up in the forest and "Hunt" for our Christmas trees. Matt went for the first time this year and he said he enjoyed it. So Here is a picture of our pretty tree all finished. The lights glow pink a little but Matt doesn't mind.

Well it's getting late so I better get going. I will post more pics and update soon.
