So I was thinking today as I was sitting in sacrament that this year has been super crazy. It all started in January when Matt started experiencing chest pains. He eventually ended up at a Pulmonologist to go in for a Broncoscopy and two days later ( on Valentine's Day yeah he owes me big time for that one.) he ended up in the emergency room with a temperature of 105. He stayed there for a few days with pneumonia. Then in May after he had been "diagnosed" with Sarcoidosis, http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/sarcoidosis-11087 . And we thought he was doing well then the doctor decided he wanted a concrete diagnosis so in July Matt went in for a Midiostynoscopy, where they made an incision at the base of his neck and took samples of the enlarged lymph-nodes in his lungs. He was then for sure, without a doubt diagnosed with Sarcoidosis. So the doctor put him on a steroid to hopefully shrink the lymph-nodes. Well we have since switched specialists because the old one was out of network so that was costing way to much so now we are seeing Dr. Alexander and we really like him. He actually listens, we went in to see him this last Tuesday and we were told that the steroid is working and he doesn't think Matt will have to be put back on. Which is really good news (he's been off for about 4 weeks now).

This is right after surgery.

Me, Rachel, and Yvette February 2008

I had a blast at beauty school, and NO ONE can sing Beauty School Drop-out to me!
My oldest sister Melisa and her husband Kevin have also had a crazy and exciting year. In October they received a call saying that someone might have a little 15 month old for them, they have been trying to adopt off and on for about 5 years. After about two weeks taking car of this little girl with the hopes of making it permanent they also discovered that they were going to be able to adopt the little girls baby brother. SO that means they have a tripled their family. They have the cutest 3 year old named Cameron, but then again I think I might be a little biased
